SNOW, ICE, AND A HEALING FRENZY!

Hello My sweet little candy drops!

To all my fellow "Dirty South" dwellers, I bid you a jolly winter storm month! It has been super crazy here in Georgia. Snow and ice have been EVERYWHERE! We love it though. Snow is a beautiful gift from God. So, thanks big guy.

In other news...

For the past four months, I have been planning (along with my trusty partners Mark Hilliard & Chris Martin) our church's 1st HUGE worship event for 2011! Its Called Jesus. Our Healer. Can you guess what its about? All I can really say is that I am so excited and so over planning this event! Being in ministry is a lot of work and the first thing I learned is that you don't have a "job description" because you end up doing everything! I'm NOT complaining though. I love every minute of it.

Now I would like to tell you a little about this Jesus. Our Healer event. Why...you may ask? Because I just want to. This event is a "Worship / Healing" service. Why have a healing service? Plain and simple -GOD WANTS TO HEAL YOU-. We want to focus this whole day on God healing power. We are showing testimonial videos and a live testimony from people in our church who have be radically healed by God. Now this is not just for physical healing, but for emotional, financial and spiritual healing as well. So if you find yourself in need of some healing power, come join us in two weeks as we celebrate Gods miraculous healing power, and pray for you and others for a supernatural healing to take place in your life!  Check out my churches link for more info!

OH HAPPY DAY!

So I wanted to share with you some of my favorite worship songs that I like to sing and why they are so good! I have added the link to each song for your enjoyment. So go grab your beverage....Something song worthy like warm tea or a glass of milk (YUM), and sit down while you enjoy my "one way" conversation with you. -(unless you would like to leave me a happy comment!) I would also encourage you to listen to the songs "whilst" you read and drink! Happy Times!

You are for me-Kari Jobe
(Another sweet link YAY!)-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7z5aOZ6SEw

I love singing songs that are directly speaking to God. When I am going through times of brokenness, the best thing I can do is just sing to God. I tell him just how great he is and that I know that he is here for me. He will never leave nor forsake me. Its hard to be strong and faithful when you are feeling so weak and helpless. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is the only thing you should do, and that's talk to God; but he is always there and willing. So i encourage you to listen to this song when you are going through broken times. Even so when your not going through them. Learn the words, and just sing to God. It doesn't matter that you didn't write the words. The only thing that matters is if you believe what you sing.

You Hold Me Now-Hillsong

I love be reminded of whats ahead of me in the future. This songs talks about finally being with God in heaven. What an amazing and wonderful thing to look forward too! One of the verses says " In this life I will stand-through my joy and my pain- knowing there's a great day- there's a hope that never fails " another says " For eternity- All my heart will give- All the glory to your name". Its such an amazing and powerful feeling that you have when your standing there pouring your heart out while singing theses lyrics. I love this life that God has given me. Yes, it not perfect, but even when I'm at my lowest or high point in life, I still give all my praise to him because heaven will be so much more amazing. I encourage you to listen to this song and songs like it on occasion. There is always something better to look forward to and we need to remind our selves. There is no ending to this life, only a really big everlasting present in the future!

Where do I even begin with this song. So So So "BAM in your face, I'm here so listen up God", GOOD! I cant even type just how good it is. All I can say is listen to it and when your done, listen to it again and again. Sing it to him. Feel the words in your spirit.

Well, there they are. I really hope you enjoy them and get as much out of them that I do.

LITTLE BIT OF THIS, LITTLE BIT OF THAT

Hi everyone!

I'm so excited about my new blog! I really hope you enjoy it and come back.  Of course I will be sharing bits and pieces of my daily life on here, but the main focus will be on my life as a worship leader. I will tell you the ups and downs, the crazy band stories, photos and more! I hope you like it!

1st things 1st
Here is are few "little" things about me you may enjoy:
*Every color is my favorite color (Im "for real" on this statement too) Why you may ask?....I'll tell you. I have always had this werid feeling that if I choose one color, that I will make the other colors sad. Childish I know, but when you've felt that way for 24 years, its kinda hard to change.
*Things I wont dare eat are as follows and I quote: Meat with bones-any meat beside chicken and the occasionally steak- sea food of ANY kind- cake- pork- most sweets- and sodas.
*Words and sayings that I made up that you may use freely through your day: Dang-Boy-Dang (for when something awesome happens). Barbengarf (call anyone this and it makes you happy, plus you make then feel like a viking for the day). Milkbone (for when you dont have anything else to say). And my favorite. (Say this to a friend) You: "You know what I feel like doing today?" Friend (who is excited because they are so bored) "what what what?" You: "Nothin".

Now that you know a little more about me, I hope you will stick around for more!
